Strategic sourcing: new approaches to deliver success
This conference will examine the state of play in strategic sourcing. It will demonstrate how universities can prioritise areas for change, better understand the marketplace for service providers and will offer tips for managing new relationships.
The event will explore how to embed the student experience, sustainability and social value into change processes while delivering better value for money. Delegates will be able to learn from case studies on taking services back in-house, outsourced and shared services, collaborations, and using ICT to improve value. The event is provided by UUK in association with AUDE, BUFDG and the Efficiency Exchange.
Our universities are under considerable pressure. They must continue to deliver world-class teaching, learning and research as well as meeting the ever more challenging demands of students, and continuing to invest in the future. Meanwhile, competition, uncertainty and austerity combine to place huge pressure on resources. Increasingly, universities are exploring new and innovative ways of delivering services and managing operations in ways that can increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.
